Care & Maintenance

His Image Restoration
We would like to share some information about the products we are using. When properly cured, the coatings are extremely durable. They are free of any harmful ingredients. The best way to describe these products is the chemical process is similar to epoxy glue. Two ingredients must be mixed just before application to form the proper catalytic reaction that gives the coating its hardness and durability. When mixed, applied and cured, they form a superior coating that can give you years of satisfaction. Complete curing to achieve maximum hardness will take 10 to 14 days. That is why we ask you to use your new surface with special care until then. You may, however, use the surface within 48 hours after application. While the surface will appear dry to the touch shortly after coating has been applied, ALL surfaces must be allowed to cure 48 hours before use.

Care and Maintenance
As far as cleaning and caring for your new surface is concerned, it is very similar to the fiberglass surfaces of tubs and showers. To maintain a like new appearance, the surface should be cleaned with any cleaner that can be used on fiberglass. His Image recommends using products such as Dawn Dishwashing liquid, Dow bathroom cleaner, Lysol Basin Tub & Tile Cleaner, Kaboom (or any comparable brand) or other cleaners designed specifically for fiberglass surfaces. NEVER use abrasives such as Comet, Ajax, or similar scouring powders. Also NOT use abrasive scouring pads or sponges. Always use a soft cloth on fiberglass, plastic laminate (Formica), or His Image coatings. Remember that abrasive cleaners and pads can badly damage fiberglass, plastic laminate and plastic based surfaces (microwave oven doors and small appliances).

PLEASE KEEP IN MIND, if your new surface was applied over an original PORCELAIN surface, the new surface must be treated and cleaned like FIBERGLASS. However, even original porcelain surfaces will chip and scratch; these surfaces would last longer if abrasive cleaners were never used on them.

If you have any questions or concerns about your new surface, please call us at your convenience. We are proud of our products and our workmanship; our aim is customer satisfaction. We appreciate the opportunity to serve you.
